Thursday August 9th, 2012 15:54 Episode 51: Ultimate Warriors

A bit of a tenuous link this week for our double feature, as we pair up two movies that probably have more in common thematically than the reason we have paired them up. We bring you an Ultimate Warrior double feature!

The first film we review is actually called The Ultimate Warrior…. a 1975 post-apocalyptic film directed by Robert Clouse of Enter the Dragon fame, and starring Yul Brenner of all kinds of stuff fame.

The second film is a direct-to-video PM Entertainment picture… so you probably know what you’re getting into there if you’re familiar with that production studio. It’s called Firepower starring Gary Daniels, Chad McQueen, and THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR HIMSELF James Warrior Hellwig.

Friday January 20th, 2012 07:00 Episode 22: Magnificent Bastard Caine

Thanks go out this week to Brian from the Hammicus Podcast for programming our first official magnificent bastard double feature – two Michael Caine classics!

The first is a 1966 film based on a stage play called Alfie. Lots of tail to be had including an almost young Shelley Winter!

The second film combines soccer/football and Nazis, so it has to be good, right? Starring not only Caine but also Sylvester Stallone, Pele, and Max von Sydow… 1981’s Escape to Victory

And we talk about buttholes and laugh like children at fart noises.
