Friday November 2nd, 2012 16:45 Episode 63: Post-70s Blaxploitation

Kind of somewhat maybe a request show again this week, we tackle a couple blaxploitation films made after the heyday of the early-mid 70s…. the glorious 80s!

The first film is ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO, starring a grand foursome of names in the genre and pulling more from the genre than it is an 80s film. Fred Williamson, Jim Brown, Jim Kelly, Richard Roundtree… oh my.

The second film we review is 1988’s ACTION JACKSON… more an 80s action film with blaxploitation sprinkled all throughout.

I had no idea what music to use this week, so some miners picked random shit for me

Music this week:
Rocket From The Crypt – On A Rope
Ariel Pink Haunted Graffiti – Kinski Assassin
Shinehead – Billie Jean (Michael Jackson Cover) Reggae Cover

Thursday August 16th, 2012 22:10 Episode 52: The Silva and The Gold III – One Year Anniversary Edition

DEEDS NOT WORDS

We wish a happy one year anniversary birthday type thing to our beloved podcast this week as we bring you a double feature of our bread and butter. A Henry Silva and a Dolph “Gold” Lundgren double feature
The first film we review is not exactly a Henry Silva… but then again, there aren’t many… but rather a Hal Needham almost-comedy action sci fi type GI Joe ripoff thingy. A feathered Barry Bostwick flying on a motorcycle in MEGAFORCE

Then we cover a 1990 Dolph fronted vehicle… and stay somewhat in the same sci-fi realm… with the alienistic I COME IN PEACE.

What a way to ring in a year on the show!
We love you all and thank you for your support. We hope to keep bringing the thunder for you.

And by thunder, I mean gas.

Music this week:
Elvis Costello & Burt Bacharach – Tears At The Birthday Party
Guided By Voices – Burning Flag Birthday Suit
The Smiths – Unhappy Birthday
