Friday November 9th, 2012 02:40 Episode 64: Running from the Virus

Since Loaf gets sick so much, we decided this week to cover a couple films about a race against a deadly germ.

Cough….

The first film we review is a noir from 1950 starring Richard Widmark and a very young Jack Palance… PANIC IN THE STREETS.

Then we move forward a couple decades to 1971 with Michael Crichton’s story adaptation about the study of an outer space bug… ANDROMEDA STRAIN

Sniff….

Music this week:
The Smiths – Panic
The Harlem Shakes – Sickos
Peeping Tom – How u Feelin?

Friday February 3rd, 2012 07:00 Episode 24: More Wrasslin

Another week and more wrasslin talk at Silva & Gold. This week we bring you the princess and the poo with two films featuring wrasslin and wrasslers that couldn’t be more different.

First we shoulder-tackle Jules Dassin’s classic noir Night and the City from 1950 and get a glimpse of how it all used to be.

Then we top rope splash 2000’s Ready To Rumble with David Arquette, Scott Caan, and DDP, and get a glimpse of what may have gone wrong.

We should know better. Trying to “rush” in order to let Zom get some much needed rest, we end up babbling for another 2.5 hours. Our loss is your …. gain? Hmm

Music this week:
Mean Gene Okerlund – Rock N Roll Hootchie Koo
Rick Derringer – Demolition
Honky Tonk Man – Honky Tonk Man
