TheAmericanSoldier02

This week we didn’t know what the hell to do, so we ended up covering a couple strange films found on Zom’s living room floor. These may not be strange in the way you are thinking!

First we review THE AMERICAN SOLDIER from 1970… a revisionist film noir from director Rainer Werner Fassbinder.

Then we cover THE NIGHT OF THE FOLLOWING DAY with Brando being a difficult prick and Rita Moreno being a junkie! Yay!

Music this week:
Wendy James – The Nameless One
Celine Dion & Anastacia – You Shook Me All Night Long
Chris De Burgh – Lady In Red

Friday April 20th, 2012 07:00 Episode 35: Not That There’s Anything Wrong With That

For the episode of Silva & Gold this week, Allan of the Arctic requested we cover a leathery film about questioning one’s sexuality, so we decided to make it a double feature as we are prone to do.

First we discuss the 1964 film directed by Sidney J. Furie called The Leather Boys.

Then we talk at length about a film we were worried about having too little to say at first. Ever wanted to see Franco Nero draw a chalk dick on the wall? Then Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s 1982 film Querelle is for you. Nono wants to play dice….

Music this week:
Queen – Somebody To Love
Nazareth – Love Hurts
Judas Priest – Raw Deal
