Sunday November 10th, 2013 21:00 Episode 114: British Creeps

corru

Since CDR helped us out for our Actiony Horrory episode right before Halloween, we wanted him to program a show for us. Since we couldn’t get it together last week, we finally got to his British creeps double feature this week!

First we talk about an independent and somewhat sleazy Peter Cushing film from 1968 called CORRUPTION (or Carnage), then we move to a rather bizarre Oliver Reed film called BLUEBLOOD from 1973

Music this week:
Swans – You Know Nothing
Sarolta Zalatnay- Hadd Mondjam El
D-A-D – Counting the cattle

Sunday June 2nd, 2013 20:26 Episode 93: Shaw Bros. Genre Mash-ups

7

This week we take a look at a couple films as examples of the legendary Shaw Bros. studio leaving Hong Kong and making some joint productions with multiple genres. I don’t even know if that was proper english

First we review what may just be a Red Sun rip-off, but was at least an attempt at kung-fu meeting a spaghetti western with THE STRANGER AND THE GUNFIGHTER.

Then we cover kung-fu horror as Shaw meets Hammer with THE LEGEND OF THE SEVEN GOLDEN VAMPIRES

Music this week:
The Stranglers – Let Me Down Easy
The Walkmen – The Rat
Supreme Beings Of Leisure – You’re Always The Sun
