Friday March 2nd, 2012 07:00 Episode 28: Stories of Strong Men

A Loaf lacking confidence and Honey Badger Zom roll in for another week of Silva & Gold, this time reviewing two documentary films graciously provided to us by some class dudes. We bring you a Stories of Strong Men double feature!

First we tackle a documentary quite awhile in the making about strong man Stanless Steel, in Zachary Levy’s Strongman. Not exactly what you think it might be.

Next we jump head first into a subject we are both passionate about, that being professional wrestling, and we review the 2011 documentary Memphis Heat: The True Story of Memphis Wrasslin’. We had to be careful not to ramble too much here about just what we love about the business, but it was a lot of fun.

Both filmmakers provided the screeners for us to review which we greatly appreciate. Please check out their websites by clicking on the posters at the bottom of this post!

Music this week:
Echo & The Bunnymen – Show of Strength
Chuck Berry – Memphis, Tennessee
Patsy Cline – You’re Stronger Than Me
