Friday December 28th, 2012 00:17 Episode 71: Manly Mustaches and Ponytails

While the two films reviewed on the show this week don’t have a ton in common, what they do have is pretty outstanding…. giant mustaches and ponytails on our lead actors!

The first film reviewed is John Boorman’s infamous(?) 1974 film ZARDOZ

The second is a little John Cassavetes joint from 1971 called MINNIE AND MOSKOWITZ. Wait til you see the mane on Cassell!

A thanks this week to Bad James from Australia for a song used on the first break. I fail to mention it because I was lazy and didn’t prepare the breaks ahead of time and we weren’t listening to them live. Next time, buddy, I promise

Happy New Year, Miners!

Music this week:
The Art of War – A Small Victory
Radiohead – Reckoner
Oppenheimer Analysis – The Devil’s Dancers

Friday May 11th, 2012 07:00 Episode 38: Young and Old

On this week’s episode we are exploring a relationships with older folks double feature.

First we discuss a pick from Maurice of Love That Album – 1992’s In The Soup starring Seymour Cassell as an eccentric gambling criminal, and Steve Buscemi as a struggling screenwriter looking for his first big break.

Then we cover a film considered a classic by some, 1971’s Harold and Maude starring Bud Cort and Ruth Gordon.
